With a sadden heart we all mourn the untimely passing of one of our favorite entertainers, 'The King of Pop' Michael Jackson...I had the honor of seeing Michael Jackson perform live on his "BAD" tour. It was phenomenal! MJ's music videos were the industry standard. Quite simply, he made the best, most innovative music videos. "Remember the Time" with Eddie Murphy as Pharoah, "Scream" with sister Janet Jackson are just two of my favorites in a list that could go on endlessly.
So, this week's Vacation Video Friday is a tribute to Michael Jackson, 'The King of Pop' and one of my all time favorite entertainers. Rest in Peace Friend! We Love You More...
First Up..."Black or White"
See MJ dance his way across the world in this video that also introduced the world to 'video morphing' and features a young and vibrant Tyra Banks and actor Maucauley Caulkin. In this music video MJ dances thru Africa, India, Russia, and NYC before ending with a memorable solo dance routine.
Re-live the memories...
Next..."Remember the Time" directed by John Singleton
In this mini movie, MJ travels thru time and takes us back to my favorite historical place and time period - Egypt and the time period of Pharoah Rameses. It is a beautifully choreographed, shot and edited video. Only Michael Jackson was good enough to entertain a Pharoah and his Queen...
Step back in time for yourself...
"Remember the Time" also features cameos by Magic Johnson, supermodel Iman and director John Singleton.
My last pick in our MJ Vacation Video Friday tribute is "Scream" with baby sister & music icon in her own right Janet Jackson. Only Michael Jackson could make traveling thru outer space look so cool. Only Michael Jackson could have cartoon icon Speed Racer do a few cameos in his video.
"Scream" featuring Janet Jackson
Enjoy!
Rest in Peace Michael Jackson! Your music will endure forever...
